Maia and Lyra styles, plus Decode Preset

Today we are adding two new shadcn/ui Figma kit styles: Maia and Lyra.

We are also updating the Figma to shadcn/ui plugin with Decode Preset, a new feature that lets you paste a shadcn/ui preset code into the plugin and automatically fill the Create settings.

Maia and Lyra styles

Maia and Lyra are now available as dedicated Figma kit files, joining Nova, Vega, Mira, and Luma.

Each style is delivered as a separate Figma file. This keeps the variable system clean, avoids the limitations of trying to combine every style into one large kit, and makes it easier to start a project with a Figma library that already matches your shadcn/ui setup.

The supported Figma kit styles are now:

• Nova
• Vega
• Mira
• Luma
• Maia
• Lyra

Package updates

Maia and Lyra are included in the Plus and Premium packages.

The Basic package still includes Nova, the default shadcn/ui style. Plus and Premium now include all six supported Figma kit styles: Nova, Vega, Mira, Luma, Maia, and Lyra.

Customers can access the new style files through the Customer Portal.

Decode Preset in the Figma plugin

The Figma to shadcn/ui plugin now supports Decode Preset in the Create tab.

Paste a shadcn/ui preset code, for example --preset b6YWkyP8i, into the preset field and click Decode. The plugin reads the preset and fills the Create settings automatically, including supported values like base color, theme, chart color, icon library, font, heading font, radius, and menu accent.

Decoded values are applied to the form first. Review the populated settings, then click Create to update your Figma variables.

The preset style value is ignored because Figma kit styles are managed as separate files. If your preset uses Maia or Lyra, open the matching Maia or Lyra Figma kit file first, then use Decode Preset to apply the theme settings on top.
