Introducing new Figma kit styles

Recently, shadcn introduced shadcn/create, a faster way to customize shadcn/ui projects with different styles, colors, typography, icon libraries, and radius settings.

Today, we are bringing that workflow deeper into the shadcndesign Figma kit. Until now, our shadcn/ui kit for Figma supported the default Nova style. Now we are adding dedicated Figma kit files for four shadcn/ui styles: Nova, Vega, Mira, and Luma.

What are styles?

In shadcn/create styles are available in the left sidebar. A style changes how shadcn/ui components feel before you start customizing colors or typography.

Styles affect details like spacing, sizing, radius, density, and component proportions. Some styles work best for dense product interfaces. Others feel more spacious, friendly, or editorial. The goal is simple: start with a component system that already matches the tone of the product you are building.

Styles in our Figma kit

Until today, our shadcn/ui Figma kit supported Nova, the default style used in the official shadcn/ui component docs.

We could not bring all styles into one Figma kit without breaking the variable structure. Figma also has file and variable limitations that make a single combined kit hard to maintain and harder for customers to use.

Instead, each style is now available as a separate Figma kit file. This keeps the structure clean, preserves the variable system, and makes each file easier to use in real projects.

The supported styles are:

• Nova
• Vega
• Mira
• Luma

We chose these because they are the most useful shadcn/ui styles for the projects we build ourselves and the styles we expect teams to reach for most often.

Pricing changes

New styles also affect what is included in each package.

Basic Package

There are no changes to the Basic Package. It still includes the Nova style, which remains the default shadcn/ui style in our Figma kit.

Plus Package

The Plus Package now includes all supported Figma kit styles: Nova, Vega, Mira, and Luma. It also includes our Pro Blocks in Figma. Each style is delivered as a separate Figma file that customers can access through the Customer Portal.

Premium Package

The Premium Package also includes all supported Figma kit styles: Nova, Vega, Mira, and Luma. It includes Pro Blocks, the Figma plugin, Agent Skills, templates, and the full design-to-code workflow.

All styles are delivered as separate Figma files through the Customer Portal.

Upgrading your license

If you are already a customer and want access to more styles, you can upgrade to a higher package.

Fill in the help form and we will reduce the upgrade price by the amount you already paid. Once the upgrade is ready, we will send you a payment link so you can access the new style files immediately.

The goal is to make starting a new shadcn/ui project faster. Pick the matching style in shadcn/create, open the same style in Figma, customize your colors and typography, and start designing with a kit that already matches your code.
