Google AI Studio Setup Guide

Getting Started

  • Sign in or create a Google AI Studio account.
  • Set up billing if you haven't already. If you need help, follow our billing setup guide.

Billing Setup Steps

  1. Log in to Google AI Studio, go the "Usage & Billing" section, and click "Set up billing" to begin your free trial.
  2. Select the Google account you want to use for billing, choose your country, and accept the terms of service.
  3. Verify your identity by creating or selecting an existing payments profile, optionally adding your tax information, and entering a valid payment method.
  4. Start your free trial with $300 in free credits, giving you access to AI services with no charges during the trial period.

Using the API Key in Figma Plugin

  1. Create an API key in Google AI Studio.
  2. Open the Figma to shadcn/ui plugin.
  3. Access the plugin settings.
  4. Select the Google Gemini 3 Pro Preview model.
  5. Enter your API key in the plugin settings.
  6. Press the "Verify key" button to proceed. If the key is valid, you can start using the plugin.
