New website design, themes and free academy!

A fresh new shadcndesign.com

Today we’re launching our new website, rebuilt from the ground up with Next.js 15, React 19, and shadcn/ui. The new stack gives us faster load times, better accessibility, and a more cohesive experience across all pages — from browsing components and templates to reading the docs and blog.

New: Themes

We’ve added a new Themes section that lets you explore ready‑made design themes and palettes tailored for shadcn/ui. Each theme is thoughtfully crafted to look great out of the box and to be easy to extend. If you want to create your own palette instead of starting from a preset, try our Theme Generator to build a custom shadcn/ui theme faster.

Academy is now free (no login required)

Effective today, the entire Academy is free to everyone. No purchase or login is required to read lessons, follow tutorials, or learn best practices.

Built with Next.js and shadcn/ui

Under the hood, the site is powered by:

• Next.js App Router with React Server Components for fast, scalable pages
• shadcn/ui for consistent, accessible UI primitives
• MDX for content so we can iterate quickly on docs and articles

This setup helps us ship improvements more often while keeping the experience snappy and accessible.
